Here I am… send me?
When you are among a crowd, have you ever wondered how many of them will go to heaven?
Have you ever wondered how many people die every day, and how many know that Jesus died for their sins?
I always feel sad when I think about it. I feel scared for them… I feel I should be doing something. And I must do it!
Though many people claim to be some kind of “Christian”, only a few know that Jesus Christ is the Savior; our savior.
Millions are being deceived by new religions, new philosophies, and their own sinful nature and flesh.
And here we are, with the most precious truth, the most precious gift, the truth that could set them free; and, sometimes we are not willing to share it…
“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
And there is a lot of work, there are crowds that live like sheep without a shepherd, and as he has compassion on them we should have compassion on them, and ask the Lord for workers… but what about being the workers?
Charles Spurgeon once said that every Christian is either a missionary or an impostor. We are called to share the gospel. We are called to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” to “go and make disciples of all nations.” And He assures us that He will be with us!!
It´s such a privilege to work for the King of kings, and it´s a great joy to lead sinners to the knowledge of the Savior. Why aren´t we obeying this commandment?
Did you know that more than 1,800 languages still need a traduction of the Bible, that´s about 180 million people. Jesus sacrificed everything for us, what are we willing to sacrifice for people’s eternity? One soul is worth it all!
May the Lord give us humble and obedient hearts to be willing to say with the prophet: “Here I am, send me.”
And though my heart is especially here in Mexico and with Israel, and though I´d be willing to go wherever the Lord calls me to go, He has put me right here, and He has put you right where you are. and He wants us to be faithful always, and every where we go is an opportunity to share the gospel. Have you wondered if the family living next to your house knows about Jesus and His sacrifice? The person who sits or stands next to you while you´re waiting for something or going somewhere may have never heard that Jesus Christ came to the world to save sinners. Use tracts, use your Bible, go with your friends.
May God convince our hearts that there´s such a great need of knowledge of the gospel, may He give us hearts full of compassion, may He make us as brave as those who are dying for sharing the way, the truth, and the life with the lost.
Please pray for those who are giving their lives to share the gospel, pray for those working on translations, pray for the projects we have here in Mexico to share the gospel, and that the Lord may rise more workers willing to live for this cause. And if you feel called to foreign lands or to work in translation, don´t stop praying for that and asking God for guidance, but remember, it costs you 0.00 to be a missionary right where you are :)
And if you know missionaries in Israel, I´d like to know =)
Or in any other country, let me know how I can pray for them!
When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.
But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.
“Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.
But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself.”
